Billie Eilish opened up about coming out as LBTQIAPN+.
The singer said that she didn’t imagine that people didn’t know that she identified herself as a member of the community.
“I kind of thought, ‘Wasn’t it obvious?’. I didn’t know that people didn’t know. I just don’t really believe in it. I just think, ‘Why can’t we just exist?’. I’ve been doing this for a good time, I just didn’t talk about it. Oops”, she said about the matter during Variety’s Hitmakers 2023 red carpet.
The artist confessed that she was impressed to see articles commenting on the subject and the surprised reaction of many people.
“I saw this article and I was like, ‘Uh, it feels like I came out today’. Okay, cool. It’s exciting for me, because I think people didn’t know, but it’s okay for them to know,” commented.
She even said: “I’m for the girls.”
