The singer ended her marriage to Rodrigo Godoy while she was in the ICU undergoing treatment for bowel cancer
Preta Gil was one of the guests on the series Angélica 50&Tanto and recalled the divorce process with Rodrigo Godoywho cheated on her with the singer’s former stylist.
During the program, the artist said that she decided to separate from Rodrigo while she was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) while undergoing treatment for bowel cancer.
“I immediately started focusing on taking care of myself (due to cancer). Parallel to this story, I was experiencing a marital crisis in my marriage which, due to the diagnosis, had been momentarily stopped”, said.
“I was taken by surprise in the middle of cancer treatment because I had an asepsis. When I came back and started to feel better, I looked from one side to the other and found myself facing a crisis in my marriage,” remembered.
“Contrary to everything and everyone, I decided to separate from my husband in the ICU. He almost died. I can’t let a man come back into my life and continue treating me the way he was treating me,” finished.
