Matthew Perry’s close family and friends gathered for the actor’s private funeral on Friday, November 3, six days after his death. The Daily Mail reported this.
It is known that the service took place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles, not far from the studio of Warner Bros., where the sitcom Friends is filmed.
The farewell ceremony was attended by Matthew’s mother, 84-year-old Suzanne Morrison, his 82-year-old father John Perry, as well as celebrity stepfather Keith Morrison, who was one of the pallbearers. The actors of the cult series Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer also came to see Matthew Perry on his last journey, and Matt LeBlanc later joined them. Altogether there were about 20 people at the funeral.
According to the publication’s insider, everyone who attended the ceremony cried a lot and remembered Matthew. Farewell speeches were made by the celebrity’s close relatives and their close friends.
The service ended with a rendition of Peter Gabriel’s song Don’t Give Up.
