58-year-old British writer and philanthropist JK Rowling has revealed her 12-year-old fan was kidnapped by Hamas militants.

The girl’s name is Noi Dan. He has autism and is currently being held captive by terrorists in the Gaza Strip.

“Kidnapping children is sacrilege, there is no justification for it. Needless to say, I could not help but be moved by what I saw in front of me. May Noah and all the other hostages taken by Hamas return to their families as soon as possible,” Rowling wrote.

The official account of the Israeli government responded with public support for the British writer.

“Thank you, JK Rowling, for sharing Noah’s story,” they said.
