The auction house noted that the historical document is relatively small, approximately 10 by 11 cm. Adelaide cut the sheets of paper and sewed them together. There are about 20 pages in total.

The diary kept by Princess Diana’s great-grandmother, Adelaide Horatia Elizabeth Seymour, has been put up for auction. It goes on sale on Thursday, with a pre-sale estimate of £400. The Daily Mail reported this.

It is known that in it he listed all the balls that he attended, because he was a representative of the social elite of Victorian Britain, who was invited to countless balls, banquets and gatherings during the London period.

Also an attractive 19-year-old girl, born into a royal family (she is a direct descendant of Jane Seymour, the third wife of Henry VIII), she is introduced to London’s high society and seeks husband

And judging by her memoirs, Adelaide had enough potential suitors to waltz with her in the ballrooms of London residences in the spring of 1844 and 1845.

Princess Diana’s great-grandmother wrote down the date and location of every event she attended, the name of the host, and every man who asked her to dance. She danced quadrilles and waltzes at most events, and her notable partners included various lords and Prince Edward.

The socialite also made general comments about some of the scores. For example, about the ball of Madame St. Oller on May 2, 1844, he wrote: “There are so many people, and I cannot get into the ballroom until midnight.”

On the last page of the booklet, Adelaide wrote down all the points she attended.

In 1844, he attended 32 ballets and danced 291 times. In 1845 she attended 44 balls, four breakfasts and three teas, and danced 373 times, including 134 waltzes and 118 polkas.

As for marriage, she had to wait ten years before she married Vice-Admiral Frederick Spencer, fourth Earl Spencer. Their great-grandson is John Spencer, 8th Earl Spencer, father of Princess Diana.
