According to the showman, the whole family stayed in Israel and has no plans to leave anywhere.
The famous Russian TV presenter Maxim Galkin, who moved to Israel with his wife Alla Pugacheva and two children after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, said whether they would leave the country.
In particular, the comedian recorded a video message on his Instagram page in which he said that the whole family remained in Israel and did not intend to leave anywhere, although there was a possibility.
“More than a year and a half ago, our whole family left Russia. No matter how much they tried to call our departure an escape, it was not true. They were fleeing from a threat, but no one threatened us . As Russia is not in danger on February 22. We left for Israel, it was a conscious choice: we have been citizens of the European Union for many years, we have European passports, and we can live in one of 27 beautiful civilized countries in Europe at any time, but we chose Israel because I love this country very much. It’s calm here. Because Alla and I feel like we belong here, not strangers,” explained the comedian.
The showman also said that the area where they live is now relatively calm, although the sirens were heard a few days ago.
“Today is Monday. Today in Israel it is quite quiet where we live. Before that there were sirens for several days. I am recording this video to clarify and refute some rumors. This is important for me,” added Galkin.
The TV presenter also mentioned that he would join the defense of the country with arms in hand if he served in the Israeli army. But now he has an opportunity to support the country in a different way.
“To support the country, to fight for it with weapons in hand. Those who ask why I am not in the front here: I can say that if I served in the Israeli army and there are some reasons that I can now defend Israel – going me, but I have a chance to support the country in another way. I’m going to donate blood, I’m going to help. I think it’s important for Russian-speaking Israelis that Alla and I are here now.”
