Elena Topol has been performing under the pseudonym Alyosha since 2009. In 2010 she represented Ukraine at Eurovision in Oslo.
Ukrainian singer Elena Topolya, better known as Alyosha, plans to change her stage name. He announced this on his Instagram page.
In particular, the performer admitted that he often receives messages from fans advising him to change his pseudonym, and the artist seriously thought about it.
“I’m sitting and thinking about the fact that many fans, many of my fans wrote to me for a long time with love, kindness and tenderness: “Do you want to change your pseudonym?” I was thinking about this and I thought about it for a long time. This process is quite difficult. I decided that it should be done,” shared Alyosha.
However, changing a pseudonym, as noted by the performer, is a rather complicated process; he asked subscribers to help with options for a new name for the stage.
“But I have a question! Which one should I replace with Alyosha? This question is probably the hardest so far. So I’m asking for your help. Tell me, sketch out your ideas, how do you want to hear the singer who is now in front of you? What name do you want him to hear? Stage name?” – Taras Topoli’s wife asked the fans.
