The journalist Arlyson Gomes and your partner Kaike Gabriel were targets of homophobic attacks because of their relationship, the attacks included offensive expressions and a disturbing live broadcast on Telegram.

In May of this year, Arlyson made his sexual orientation public and since then his relationship with Kaike has faced homophobic comments and, during this period, Arlyson spoke about the support he received from his mother, despite the issue having generated controversy in his family.
With this wave of attacks, the journalist wrote a note of repudiation: “It is regrettable that some people persistently distort concepts to justify their prejudice. My personal life and my relationship with my partner are private matters and should not be used as weapons for unfair attacks.”
