Influencer Dora Figueiredo opened the game about a delicate situation. Honestly, the youtuber explained that she renovated the apartment that was rented to her and that she will not be able to pay the new rent price.
Dora made a series of videos on social networks and said that she had the intention of buying the property, but she could not afford the amounts.
“My dream turned into a nightmare, and ended up being the biggest waste of money of my life”she said.
The digital influencer told how it all started: “It was the middle of the pandemic and I felt like I had to make my dreams come true, because the world was going to end at any moment. That’s when I remembered a post on the internet by a famous blogger who was renovating her apartment and I said: man, this is it. I want this life”.
“They decided to increase the value absurdly, and one of the things that made this apartment more valuable was the work that I paid for. It was too heavy for me, I don’t have the money for that and I’m going to have to move”she said.
The youtuber said that the renovation, which was supposed to last three months, took a year. So she would have paid the rent for a month without living in the apartment.
“Works are late, it was the middle of the pandemic, I totally understand that fact. But there was a failure in communication that I still haven’t been able to identify, not least because assistance after the work was basically non-existent. The three months went to six months, and six months gave a year. I was living in a 14m² apartment with my little dog without being able to move here, because the work was not complete”, he said.
Dora said that she would be part of the project with exchanges, but she had to pay a part. “But that’s ok, plans change and I decided to continue. I was completely in love with everything and I really wanted to make this dream come true. Delays in work happen, but that wasn’t all. There were several problems during and, mainly, after the renovation was completed it was done”he spoke.
The influencer said that the contract ended in November 2022, but she is only leaving the apartment now: “It really turned into chaos in my life. Now, finally, I’m going to return this apartment and it won’t be mine anymore. But at the same time, where it’s a relief in my life, it’s the closing of a very traumatic cycle”.
