The Italians announced the release of a new electric vehicle

This will be the Italian brand’s first production electric car, which goes on sale in the first half of 2024.

The new generation Lancia Ypsilon will appear. It is a compact B-class hatchback that will be released in the first half of 2024, according to Motor.es.

The model is designed in the style of the Lancia Pu + Ra HPE concept car. The front part looks like a “beak” with diode lighting.

The Lancia Ypsilon 2024 will be built on the same platform as the next-generation Peugeot 208 and Opel Corsa – STLA Small by Stellantis. The hatchback will be small in size – the length will reach about four meters.

The car will receive a 156-horsepower engine and a 54 kWh battery. The power reserve will be about 400 km.

It is known that there will be Lancia Ypsilon hybrids for 100 and 136 hp. with a 1.2-liter turbo engine and a “soft” 48-volt installation and a sports version of the NRE.

Recall that Volkswagen previously announced the release of a budget electric car.
