The performer recalled how he was almost blown up last year by an anti-personnel mine in Severnaya Saltovka.
The frontman of the Okean Elzy band Svyatoslav Vakarchuk shared a story when Sergey Zhadan literally saved him from death. He spoke about this at the presentation of the project of a public figure, which took place on the 49th birthday of the soloist of the group Zhadan and Dogs, reports NV.
According to him, it was already during a large-scale war, when they were in Kharkov in Northern Saltovka, which suffered the most at the hands of the invaders. The writer carefully watched that the artist did not step on an anti-personnel mine during a speech in front of Ukrainian defenders.
“The last time we celebrated my birthday, Sergei stood up and made sure that I did not accidentally step on an anti-personnel mine, which at that moment was a meter from my foot. And this is not a joke. This is true. This was in Saltovka in Kharkov. We visited the Kharkov Territorial 127th Brigade. We talked, and then I decided to sing. Sergey was with us. And then they told us for a while: “Just be careful (and I standing with a guitar) there is mine, it is uninterrupted . We were the only ones who saw it,” he said.
Zhadan, as the performer recalled, took some kind of ceiling and carefully placed it to protect his companion.
“In fact, this made me pay more attention to him. But after such a relationship, they remained close for a long time,” Vakarchuk summarized.
Earlier it was reported that Sergei Zhadan spoke about his impressions in a conversation with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny.
