At the festival held in Montenegro, they raised funds in support of Russian refugee musicians.
Oleg Skrypka, the leader of the group Vopli Vidoplyasova, ended up in a scandal by performing in Montenegro at a festival in support of Russian refugee musicians. The organizer, Russian producer Maria Semushkina, announced the artist’s performance on Facebook.
According to him, the performer was not announced in the line-up, but he came to the event anyway, so he invited him to speak, and he agreed.
“I invited Oleg on stage and together with refugee musicians from Russia, and also the wonderful singer Gladys from France, there was a great jam session. At the same frequency of music and at name of peace,” wrote the organizer.
Oleg Skrypka’s team has already responded to the statement about the performance of the artist at this festival: “This is an attack on information. First, the accusation of fascism, then – collaboration with the Russians, anti-feminist. We are not comment on this, on the joy of Russian propaganda. Tomorrow we represent Ukraine in Brussels. And now everything is being done to destroy the holiday in support of Ukraine.”

It should be noted that the organizers of the Music Saves the World festival call it a global charitable music marathon. In the past, the event was called Usadba Jazz, until 2019 it was held in different cities of Russia.
It was previously reported that Oleg Skrypka believes that it is more difficult for Russians than for Ukrainians.
