An old Aerospatiale SA 330 Puma helicopter has been converted into an unusual motor home called the Helicamper, writes Carakoom.
The 1978 helicopter was operated in Germany, Romania and Afghanistan. In 2020, it was decommissioned and sold to a couple Blake Morris and Maggie Morton from the United States.
The couple converted the helicopter into a motorhome trailer. It took two years.
So, the fuselage of the helicopter was installed on a two-axle trailer and treated with wood. The cockpit is unchanged – it serves for breakfast. The helicopter’s control levers became towel holders.
Inside the Helicamper there is a bedroom with a large bed and a TV, a kitchen with a stove, sink and fridge, and a living room.
