The Party Pieces trade was hit hard during the COVID-19 pandemic, when parties and celebrations had to be shut down for months.
Kate Middleton’s parents, Carol and Michael, have sold their party supplies business. This was reported by The Guardian.
Party Pieces posted a post-tax loss of almost £286,000 in 2021, according to the latest accounts.
Party Pieces, founded in 1987 by the parents of Prince William’s wife, was bought on Thursday by businessman James Sinclair, who owns companies such as Teddy Tastic Bear Co Ltd.
It was not disclosed how much he paid. It was just reported that 12 workers from what is now Middleton’s former company will be working on Teddy Tastic Bear.
Carole Middleton previously revealed she was inspired to start the company after she couldn’t find matching party supplies for Kate’s fifth birthday party in stores. He then started a kitchen table business in the family home in Berkshire.
Earlier it was reported that the father of the wife of the British Prince Harry Meghan Markle – Thomas – is angry again because he still does not see his grandchildren.
