For the first time since the beginning of the war, Potap returned to Ukraine in September, when preparations began for filming the Voice of the Country finale.
Ukrainian rapper and producer Potap explains why usually since the start of a large-scale war is abroad. He spoke about it in an interview with TSN.
According to him, he has many connections in Europe and the USA that contribute to helping our country.
“I don’t go somewhere. It’s because of the details of my work now. I mean auctions, charity concerts, army fundraisers, humanitarian aid, etc. I have a huge network that I’ve created throughout my life. Therefore, now I get money and help from abroad, and I am here where I can be most useful at this moment – it can be in Ukraine, and in Europe, and in America,” he said.
At the same time, he added that he acts as a guarantor to the people to whom he agrees to provide assistance in Ukraine, so his personal presence is important.
When I go abroad to perform as an actor, of course, I can’t do it remotely. When I go as a businessman – to negotiate for sending 15 ambulances or 25 containers of humanitarian aid or medical aid, I must also be there in person. Because I personally take it all under my guarantee and the reputation of my business. Now there are many fakes. Many are taking advantage of the opportunity to write the money, so it is important to personally control everything and be the guarantor of all the humanitarian activities we carry out,” said Potap.
