These works with elements of rock, pop, jazz and Ukrainian folklore determine the creative direction of Smerichka, who gave the Ukrainian pop song a new musical wave in the 60s-70s of the XX century.

Since 1973, Dutkovsky, together with Smerichka, worked in the Chernivtsi Regional Philharmonic and toured.

Thanks to Dutkovsky and the Smerichka ensemble led by him, the professional rise and fame of Smerichka soloists Nazariy Yaremchuk and Vasily Zinkevich, composer Vladimir Ivasyuk, singers: Sofia Rotaru, Lyudmila Artemenko, Ivo Bobul began , Pavel Dvorsky and others.
