Yes, you are genius, talented, fun, smart, beautiful, successful, accomplished and done sooooo many things during your life. But that’s not why you are my hero. You are my hero for the way you behave, day day after day, month after month, year after year, with such dignity and honesty. The admiration I have for you is endless. It always has been. What an honor and privilege to be your son. What an honor and privilege to have been raised by you. To receive your values. I never met a person like you. Your strength, your courage, your sense of justice, your genius, your sensitivity, your good humor and so many other wonderful things. I can say that I chose my heroes well. You and my father are my heroes. If I’m just a little bit of who you are, if I do just a little bit of the good that you do, if I bring just a little bit of the joy and fun that you bring to the world, I’m already happy and fulfilled. You rock. You are, yes, the queen of all this shit. The world has lost one of the most unique and amazing people to ever live. I lost my mother. But you are eternal.
