Changes during childhood
Amanda Alice de França Meirelles was born in Astorga, Paraná, on March 22, 1991. Because of her father’s profession, she had to move house several times. “During my childhood, my father was in the military and later worked in a bank. We moved cities usually four times a year. So, with that, I always had to learn to adapt”, she said in an interview with Gshow.
I like dancing

In adolescence, the passion for medicine it was awakened in Amanda who, through a neighbor, had her first contact with the profession. “I had a neighbor who was a doctor and took me to the hospital. I loved his routine, sitting on a stool talking to patients. I always liked to take care of and treat people”, revealed the doctor to Gshow.
Inspired by her dream of becoming a doctor, she moved to Umuarama, Paraná, to live with four friends and study. “I financed my college 100%, my family had no conditions to pay. I’m 19 and I still have to pay the FIES, it’s a debt of R$ 480,000.”
Dedication to the profession
Despite the debt, Amanda became the first of family to have higher education. During the pandemic, he even worked for 15 days without leaving the hospital. In addition, in 2020, she received a certificate from Hospital do Rocio, in Campo Largo, in the interior of Paraná, as the outstanding professional of the year for her differentiated and ethical performance in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit).
Relationships
Even though the sister’s relationship status has reverberated among Internet users, she is single and declared to have more luck in gambling than in love. “All the relationship apps I’ve already reset; there comes a moment that appears there: there are no people available on the next two continents”, joked Amanda in her presentation video at BBB 23.
