The Creative Director of the famous fashion house Balenciaga Demna Gvasalia presented images from his spring collection. The fashion designer gave an interview to The New Yorker.
The outfits from the new collection are made in the colors of the Ukrainian flag. Gvasalia did it on purpose to remind the world of Russia’s war in Ukraine.
So, in the photo, the models appeared in bright yellow and blue outfits. The shot was taken by Turkish photographer Pari Dukovich.
Gvasalia also spoke about why the war in Ukraine became a serious emotional test for him and influenced his work.
“I read the news. I can’t disconnect from reality and, you know, live in my office. We live in a scary world, and fashion is a reflection of it,” said the fashion designer.
