Starting with the basics: Does chocolate cause acne? The expert explained: “If it’s milk chocolate, rich in fat and sugar, it can make acne worse. It all depends on what they add to the chocolate. What benefits is having a cocoa concentration above 70%, the rest is not recommended for excessive consumption. .”.

The doctor said that chocolate is not necessarily the enemy of beautiful skin, but care must be taken.

“White ‘chocolate’ can be considered an enemy, since it is not made from the seed, but from cocoa butter, that is, completely based on hydrogenated fat and sugar. It does not have cocoa or antioxidant substances, and may have more than 50% sugar in its composition.”, he said.

Is diet chocolate the best option to consume and not cause harm to the skin? The doctor said that this is not how it works: “No. Despite not having sugar, these foods are generally high in fat that could be harmful to health.”.

Is it true that eating a square of chocolate a day is good for skin health?

“We advise the patient to consume around 30 grams per day of dark chocolate, as it has a cocoa concentration above 70%, and therefore is rich in antioxidants.”, explained.

Rule of who can or cannot eat chocolate, does it really exist? The doctor explained: “This ‘rule’ is determined by the doctor, as he is the one who knows the general state of health of his patient and has the authority to authorize or not the consumption of food.”.

Dr. Fernanda said that chocolate can be used on the skin and hair.

The specialist taught the step-by-step of a face mask using chocolate:

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons of cocoa powder;

How to use:
