She became a celebrity girl at the request of her second husband. The couple had a break in the relationship.
A documentary is being prepared for the premiere about the connection between the lead singer of The Beatles, the British musician John Lennon and his personal assistant May Pang. They were put together by the musician’s wife, Yoko Ono, after breaking up with the artist. The Daily Mail writes about it.
Peng was 23 years old at the time. She worked as his and Ono’s personal assistant for three years. But when the celebrity couple decided to take a break from their four-year marriage, Ono advised Pang to spend more time with Lennon and become his mistress.
“I refused. I respect their marriage. I said, ‘That’s not what I want to do.’ I just enjoyed working with them,” Pang said.
However, Lennon still managed to start a relationship between them.
Now Pang admits that he cried after the first sex with the hero, because he did not know where it would lead. Because of this, they fell in love with each other, and Ono never let her famous husband out of her sight. He called 15 times a day and eventually the couple got back together.
Although Pang said his relationship with Lennon continued until the musician’s death.
As you know, the break in the relationship between Ono and Lennon was called Lost Weekend. This is the name of the documentary, which will be released on April 13th.
Mei Pang admitted that she accompanied her boyfriend to Los Angeles, where he introduced her to rock music legends, as well as to the recording studio, where he was recording a new album.
“He really loves everything and wants to explore everything. He loves coffee in the morning and blueberry pancakes, he loves swimming. He’s just an amazing person who loves to discover new things,” Pang said.
Note that the musician was shot by his fan Mark David Chapman in 1980. Officially, he was married twice. The musician’s first wife was Cynthia Powell. Their marriage produced a son, Julian.
Remember that Lennon’s last letter was auctioned at Gotta Have Rock for $64,000.
