I always seek to honor the following and become an increasingly reference in identity, and leave my legacy wherever I am.”she said.
Going back in time, the artist told how it all began: “It was my mother who discovered me as an artist. Since I was a little girl, I have shown a passion for the arts in general, especially music, which has always moved and colored my world since I was a little girl. My mother always encouraged me to discover and enjoy the arts because she was always very artistic in essence too. I remember in great detail the day when everything changed in my life… And I saw that I could continue in music. I was in the car listening to a playlist with my headphones and ended up getting a little carried away – without realizing it – I sang a part of a song.”.
“When my mother heard me singing, she stopped the car and asked me to take the phone off. She asked me what that had been… : ‘When were you going to tell me that you can sing?’ From that day on, my life has not been the same. My mother has always worked in the music business through the events she managed, so she had a lot of ownership of speech. She was moved and encouraged me a lot to follow this dream.”she said.
Victoria continued: “That day I discovered that I could sing. I’m sure that if it weren’t for my mother’s insistence and dedication in showing me that I had talent, I wouldn’t have become the artist I am today. For that I have my eternal gratitude for her. Not just for that reason, but for thousands of others. Having her support made all the difference.”.
And the career began to flow. With that, the number of admirers increased. The singer told when you realized that you were already conquering the public.
“I realized when I started to take my own audience to the places where I performed. I started to have admirers who went to all the shows. I started to gain fan clubs and notoriety wherever I went. our show again at the houses and then I realized that I was gradually conquering my space. I am very proud to look back – after 10 years of career – and realize every step we managed to climb until today.”he said.
Victoria told who her inspirations are in the music world: “Several. It’s almost an impossible mission to be able to choose just one inspiration in the face of so many incredible artists in our music scene. (Laughter) However, every time I’m asked about my references, I get Zeze Di Camargo&Lucian in my mind. They made and continue to make history with the legacy they built. They are an example of resilience, resilience and faith. The story of coming from the countryside, going through difficulties, and having the support and foundation in the family, reminds me of my parents’ story of overcoming and persistence. My maternal grandparents had 21 children, and when I watched the movie ‘Two sons of Francisco’ I got very emotional along with my family, because I saw the same drive they had there. I have several inspirations, but if I have to choose one, I choose this duo that is a reference for all of the sertanejo lovers! They are a living legend! He has all our respect and admiration!”.
For 2023, the singer confessed that she has a great plan: a tour of Brazil!
“My big goal is to do my tour in Brazil taking our newest project which is Pipoco da VB – Name of the DVD – which we just recorded this year and which we will launch now in April.”, said.
Speaking of dreams, the artist confessed with whom she has a great desire to collaborate on a musical work.
“I dream of recording with several names that are references, not only for me, but for everyone who loves our dear Sertanejo, such as Zezé Di Camargo & Luciano, Gusttavo Lima, Jorge & Mateus and several others. I had a dream of being able to at least meet our eternal Queen of the Sertanejo, Marília Mendonça, who is our greatest reference in Feminejo, but as it was not possible, I carry her forever in my heart and I always try to follow and honor the legacy she left for us. I dream of one day being able to sing with Maiara and Maraisa, Simone mendes, Luiza Martins and with several other powers of our Feminejo. Out of my niche, I dream of singing with Ivete and with Alcyone, that I’m mega ultra power fan. [risos]”, said.
Finally, Victoria gave a show of empowerment and encouraged other women to enter the music business.
“My biggest tip is never lose your authenticity. Always leave your mark wherever you go. Remember that you are unique and capable of conquering all your heart’s dreams. Strong is that person who overcomes himself, not others. Have the courage to be who you are and be true to your own essence! Build your legacy and be happy. The impossible is the word that the fearful use to justify their lack of courage! Fight and believe in your potential! There is an unshakable strength within you who move everything around you: your faith!”, he said.
