Nutritionist Renata Branco taught how to make tea to recover from alcohol damage
It’s not news that alcohol consumption can bring a series of harm to our body.
the nutritionist Renata Branco explained alcohol is able to inflame our intestine contributing to the imbalance of the intestinal microbiota leading to swelling of the abdomen.
“This mixture of alcohol and carbohydrates plus snacks (excess fat) overloads the liver, making it work harder to eliminate these toxins and fat. These alcohol-derived toxins increase the forms of by-products that are inflammatory causing our body to use reserves of antioxidants and liver enzymes to counteract this inflammation.”said Renata.
The professional also stated that, in addition to alcohol, beer has 1/3 of its composition in maltose, which is a refined carbohydrate.
“When they say that a beer is worth a French bread, it’s true”said the nutritionist.
The expert also gave a tip: “If you overindulge in beer consumption, always remember to hydrate yourself during and after consumption of the drink, have a good meal before drinking and the next day consume light foods such as fruits, vegetables, legumes and rest for your body to recover”.
According to Renata, a good option is dandelion tea, which is a great option for the liver to recover.
