“I want to remove the superficiality of these contents and transform them into something deeper”, says Luis Mariz about his new project

Luiz Mariz is a success on social networks, adding up to all of them he has almost 20 million followers, on TikTok alone there are 13 million and that number tends to grow, since now the influencer has launched a new project on the platform.

Identidade is a mini series that Luis thought of doing for the social network, and it already has millions of views and we, from Maximum Digitalwe caught up with the artist to find out about this new project and much more!

About the new video format for TikTok, Luis told how the public received the mini series: “It was a long shot… I’m happy the audience is loving it and it’s been gratifying to have that response from them.”

“Of course, you couldn’t have known that the public would be so receptive… even because we’re still analyzing what the viewers’ preferred genre is, what they like or dislike.”, said.

“But since everything has been so positive, I have no doubt that I will continue with this content, always innovating, new stories, new genres… admiration…”, he said.

In addition to acting in the mini series, Luis is also part of the production: “I love being on the creative side, not just in front of the camera but behind it, creating, building, putting ideas together and beyond acting, directing.”

“The process with the team is also very important and I believe that we all do it with a lot of love. I hand selected each choice made very well!”he spoke.

Luis has also done other work as an actor, he had a role in the Netflix series Tune in, and he told us about this experience: “Participating in Tune was an innovative gift in my life… It was the moment to explore my admiration for the “Seventh Art” in a professional way, within a project so big that it gives voice to many very important social issues!”

“The invitation to the series was through Kondzila, I even released some songs with them, and it was through that that the bridge was made for the invitation to play Theo Ribeiro. It was a brief, magical and important passage… my inner child of indeed was dazzled by the greatness and magnitude of Netflix.”, he detailed.

“Acting has always been present in my life… I did a lot of theater as a child, I always had an affinity for the camera and so I played at remaking thousands of movie scenes (laughs). It was a real achievement!”, remembered.

The artist also ventured into the music business and some time ago he released some songs, about possible plans to return to his career in music he said: “I have some songs released, yes, but the focus with a musical career is still distant by choice… I see this side of me in another way, as a bonus, if they send me to do it, I’m here, I’m ready and available. “

“What I’m trying to say is that, unfortunately, here in Brazil it’s still difficult to find actors with other pillars of art in itself, actors who, in addition to acting, also sing, dance, do acrobatics, etc.” he spoke.

“Our body and mind are our instruments, so I think it’s important that we learn to develop other talents and not just acting, and that’s what I think about my music! !”, reflected.

Luis also revealed that he produced a series for a streaming platform: “I even produced an incredible series, not for the internet but for our streaming platforms… The series is not ready yet, it is in post-production.”

“But in addition to producing, with an incredible team, I also act, and because it is a series that involves a lot of music and dancing, my character also sings and dances, and of course, for this project I produced more songs”, said.

“I will certainly never turn my back on a musical career, but the focus at the moment is the audiovisual world… What I love is this, these processes of life. And of course, always throwing myself headlong!”he added.

With so many aspects in his professional life, he talked about future projects and his desire to grow as an actor: “My current and future projects really involve the art of acting. I’m very focused on my acting side.”

“We know the art of “waiting” very well, right (laughs) and since I am not involved in any external “big project”, when I wait for an opportunity, I make it happen, giving life to my own productions… So I I don’t stand still.” he said.

“Not to mention that I love being involved with anything connected to this. I believe that the actor cannot stop. When I don’t have the opportunity… I create my own. And this is the way I found to keep myself active. That’s how I instigate my creative side, I study, I have fun and I don’t stop without acting, at the same time that I work, of course, because that’s still my job!”, continued.

As much as he is focused on acting, Luis spoke about his life as an influencer and opened his heart to talk about this part of his life: “Speaking of the ‘influencer’ side, I will never leave that part of me behind, that’s where I started, I have a lot of gratitude!”

“I’ve always had this gift of communication, that’s why I hope to emphasize my new projects, being able to influence other people in a positive way through our dear ‘seventh art’, with all due respect, if I can call mine humble series like that, daring, I would say (laughs)”, continued.

“I still have a lot to learn and I hope that life will give me this chance to be able to evolve more and more in this area! Anyway, even though my series on tiktok have a different language from cinema, from the dramaturgy of soap operas/series, I really believe that everything is interconnected, in addition to being a very important means of communication!”, he thought.

“My goal is to remove the superficiality of these ‘quick and easily accessible’ contents and transform them into something deeper, with a greater social basis, that makes people think… so we will always be addressing important topics.”, reflected.

“I want my series to really cause some kind of ‘catharsis’ in the public, and that somehow we can encourage these people who consume tiktok and social networks in general, to be thinking beings and small revolutionary agents. The focus has never been only on me and yes in a whole!”, he finished.
