To celebrate the character’s upcoming movie, check out 6 games from the Mario Bros series
The history of Mario Bros began in 1981, when Nintendo released the game “Donkey Kong”, which featured a character called Jumpmam, a plumber who had to rescue his girlfriend, Pauline, from the clutches of the gorilla Donkey Kong.
The game was a success, and Nintendo decided to create a new game with Jumpman as the main character. Game designer Shigeru Miyamoto was tasked with creating the new game and developed a platform game called “Mario Bros”.
The game was released in 1983 and featured two characters, Mario and his brother Luigi. The two characters were plumbers who had to fight underground creatures while trying to rescue a princess named Toadstool.
The game was different from other platformers at the time because players had to tackle enemies by turning them upside down and then kicking them off the screen. Additionally, players could earn extra points by collecting coins and other special items.
The Evolution of Super Mario Bros.
The success of Mario Bros led Nintendo to create a game series with the character Mario as the protagonist, including Super Mario Bros, Super Mario World, Super Mario 64 and many others. The Mario franchise has become one of the most popular and successful franchises in gaming history, and Mario has become a pop culture icon.
In addition to games, the Mario franchise has expanded into cartoons, movies, toys, and many other licensed products. Nintendo continues to develop new games featuring Mario and his friends to this day, over 30 years after the release of the original “Mario Bros” game.
There are many Mario Bros games out there, but here are some of the top games in the series:

4. Super Mario 64 (1996)
