Since the beginning of the mass war, musicians have expressed support for Ukraine and changed the words of the cult song Wind of Change, which refers to the Moscow River.
The leader of the legendary German rock band Scorpions, Klaus Meine, considers all Russians guilty of war unleashed on the territory of Ukraine. He said this in an interview with Alexei Sukhanov.
The musician believes that the inhabitants of the aggressor country were subjected to propaganda, therefore they are complicit in the crimes committed in Ukraine.
“The Germans in World War II invaded half the world. And when we grew up, we felt a common guilt. It was clear to us that every German had a share of the blame in World War II. The Germans lost that war, and then step by step it began to become clear what happened then: the Holocaust and all the terrible things, all this puts a stain of common guilt on our country. I want to understand people in Russia what is happening now, and they themselves release a sense of their own responsibility for the fact that innocent people are dying, injured, lost their homes. Yes, they say: “This is not the Russians, this is the regime”, but the Russians support this regime. There are different sociological studies, how many Russians support the war. Of course, propaganda is also to blame here,” he said. Hey.
According to him, he wants to say that not all Russians are guilty, but he is afraid that it is not so. Klaus Meine also added that he wants each of them to realize what their responsibility is.
Earlier it was reported that Klaus Meine spoke about how the idea was born to change the words of the cult song Wind of Change and remember Ukraine in it.
