Former BBB Jessi Alves brought a project that seeks to give visibility to women in science
Jessi Alves is leveraging its post-BBB visibility for important causes.
The teacher has a degree in biological sciences and is always very engaged in social causes and a militant of environmental guidelines.
A biologist by training, as well as a scientist, Jessi launches another painting on her social networks.
On February 11th, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science is celebrated and to highlight the many women scientists, Jessi launched a painting in February on her Instagram to talk about four very important women for the history of science and technology, but that were forgotten and silenced by the patriarchal system.
This is Jessi’s third audiovisual project and will premiere on February 10 (Friday) on the biologist’s Instagram.
The project will speak a little about one of these personalities. The episodes will always be published on Fridays, until the end of February. Once again, Jessi intends to use her voice and influence to speak about important issues, this time to present to the public, remember and empower these and all women scientists in the world.
“I am very excited about this painting, the idea is to rescue women, stories of women who were and are important for transforming the national and world scientific scenario. So, as February 11th is the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the The idea is precisely to bring in women who had a direct impact on the scientific world. All the women I chose, in some way, were very important for the scientific universe, being part of history and also trying to build this scenario, which women in science are not so privileged, benefited, honored and who don’t receive the same merits as men”, said Jessi about the project.
