Special Prosecutor Andrea Riba filed a motion to recuse American actor Alec Baldwin’s lawyer in the case of killing Ukrainian cameraman Galina Hutchins on the set of Rust. Variety reported it.

The defense also argued that Reeb’s position could affect his decisions to charge Alec Baldwin with the murder of a Ukrainian woman.
In turn, prosecutors called Baldwin’s petition a distraction from the essence of the trial. Office spokeswoman Heather Brewer emphasized that “Baldwin and his attorneys could use any tactic to divert attention from the fact that Hutchins died due to gross negligence and reckless disregard for safety in Rust set.”
