Meghan Markle’s half-sister Samantha Markle has filed a libel suit “based on willfully false and malicious statements made to a global audience.” ET reports.
The allegations by a relative of the Duchess of Sussex were made in an interview she and Prince Harry gave in 2021 to Oprah Winfrey. The woman also said her sister had spread “false claims” about her in her 2020 book In Search of Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of the Modern Royal Family.
Samantha also claims that Prince Harry’s wife orchestrated an entire information campaign to destroy her reputation and the authority of their father Thomas to promote her “rags to riches” false image.
He even refuted Meghan Markle’s claim that they were together for a long time in their youth and that Samantha was kicked out of high school. The half-sister also denied claims that she changed her surname to Markle after news broke in 2018 that Meghan and Prince Harry were dating.
It was previously reported that writer Joanna Weiss published an article in which “Meghan Markle received the title of ‘narcissus'”.
