An American actress accidentally shoots a cameraman from Ukraine, Galina Hutchins, and injures the film’s director, Joel Souza.
Hollywood actor Alec Baldwin will stand trial for the involuntary manslaughter of Ukrainian cameraman Galina Hutchins, who died in October 2021 while filming Rust. This was reported by the Air Force.
Hannah Gutierrez Reed, the film’s gunsmith, will also be charged.
“Actor/producer Alec Baldwin and weapons expert Hannah Gutierrez-Reid to face two counts of involuntary manslaughter. Justice deserves.” said the prosecutor of the city of Santa Fe in the state of New Mexico, Mary Carmack-Altvis.
He announced that they will file a lawsuit by the end of January. Both face up to 18 months in prison and a $5,000 fine if convicted.
It was previously reported that the Santa Fe Sheriff’s Office has concluded its investigation into a fatal shooting on set while filming Rust.
