Joe and Jill Biden wrapped the presents, writing in the note that they are “sending all their love this holiday season.”
US President Joe Biden and his wife Jill sent gifts to children with cancer from Ukraine being treated in the United States. The First Lady announced this on her Instagram page.
It was noted that in March of this year, the world’s most famous hospital for cancer patients evacuated Ukrainian children for further treatment, which became impossible due to the full-scale invasion of Russia.
“Early this year, St. Jude invited Ukrainian children with cancer to the United States to continue their treatment. Shortly after they arrived, I went to St. Jude to congratulate these children and their families. This Christmas, Joe and I are thinking of them as families,” he wrote.
In turn, hospital staff responded with gifts and thanked the Biden family.
“We are grateful for your kindness and support for these families from Ukraine who find themselves in such extraordinary circumstances. We are honored to take care of them,” the message said.
It was previously reported that US President Joe Biden’s residence was traditionally decorated for New Year and Christmas by First Lady Jill Biden.
