Amy Schumer Says Living With Trichotillomania Is ‘Unpleasant’-

Amy Sumer continues to shed light on her true fight with trichotillomania after keeping it a secret for decades.

“When I was 13, I had so much hair that I had to make a wig and a school wig,” Sumer said. He called the experience “embarrassing” and said it made him feel “ugly and unlovable” because he had “big baldness”.

Despite the difficulty with the condition, the actor said he did not really understand the essence of the problem.

“I thought I was fine. “I can’t understand that I’m not well and my hair loss is a symptom of that,” the Life & Beth star explains. “I didn’t even realize it and I just looked down and I had piles of hair.”

Sumer said both his parents were worried about the situation and his mother was “especially scared and hurt.”

“He helped me straighten my hair every morning before going to school and cried before the game helped me,” the actor added as the emotions started.

“This is my big secret, you know,” Sumer continued. “I am very ashamed of it. I just want to try and skip it and find out about it myself and that is part of it. ”

Sumer said he still had thin hair and “probably half the hair I should have.” Fortunately, the extensions help him stay on camera, he said.

“I’m lucky that the upbringings have become normal,” he said. “Every woman you see in a movie has a wig or extra hair. This is how it works in business. “It’s not even weird – he’s shy.”

While Sumer continues to be loyal to his audience, he revealed he had trichotillomania in March of this year, after being included in Hulu’s new show, “Life & Beth.”

“I think everyone has a big secret and it’s mine,” the actor told The Hollywood Reporter last month. “And I’m proud that my big secret is painful, but that’s why I’ve been ashamed of it for so long.”
