Actress Fernanda Machado talks about sinusitis procedure: ”It wasn’t easy at all”

Classified into two categories, acute and chronic, sinusitis affects 15 to 20% of the world’s population, according to the Brazilian Association of Otorhinolaryngology and Cervico-Facial Surgery (ABORL-CCF). Who is inside this statistic is the actress Fernanda Machado: “My sinus problem is long-standing, and it’s physiological, anatomical”he wrote in a publication on his Instagram, this Thursday, 14.

ACTRESS FERNANDA MACHADO WENT THROUGH THE SECOND PROCEDURE TO TREAT SINUSITIS

At 41 years old, Fernanda went through a second procedure to treat sinusitis with Vivaer, “a device that uses radiofrequency to remodel the internal mucosa and cartilage of the nose, unclogging the places that have obstruction”. The actress explained that she has an obstruction in her nasal valve.and opened up about how he went through several alternative treatments to try to alleviate the condition. “I’ve done everything natural to solve this problem, everything. Years without lactose. But nothing works, because of this physical obstruction”.

Three years ago, the actress underwent the first procedure, called sinusballoon, in the hope of solving the problem with sinusitis. “They open a stent/balloon inside the nose to enlarge the sinuses. Unfortunately it didn’t completely solve my problem”.

However, Fernanda Machado declared a greater difficulty with this second process: “Recovery from the procedure was not easy”. Delilah, from Soulmate (2005-2006), reported the difficult and painful time: “They call it non-invasive, because there is no cutting or breaking bones, nor general anesthesia. But the doctor moved a lot inside my nose, and the feeling is that it was indeed a very invasive procedure”.

With two small children, the actress hopes that all this will pass soon. “I’m praying a lot that this solves my problem and I don’t need surgery”.
