Fauci Says Americans Should Weigh Individual Risk in COVID Amid Rising Cases –

Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, advised Americans to evaluate their individual risks of COVID-19 as cases continue to rise.

“He’s not going to be removed and he’s not going to be removed,” Fauch told ABC’s This Week on Sunday. “What will happen is we will see that each individual has to calculate the amount of risk they want to take.”

Fauci attributed the recent increase in COVID-19 cases to a 10.1% increase last week. According to Reuters – In the variant of Omicron BA.2, with mitigation measures such as internal masks and reduced safety in vaccines. He said health authorities were closely monitoring the numbers but did not expect a large increase in mortality and hospitalizations.

Fauci, chief medical adviser at the White House, also stressed the importance of congressional approval for additional tests, drugs and vaccinations, including a fourth boosting vaccine.

“I hope Congress will come and give us the resources to prepare ourselves with the tools we need to solve this problem,” Fauci said.

Many U.S. officials who attended the Gridiron Club dinner in Washington earlier this month were positive, including New York’s most recent Mayor Eric Adams.

The White house moved its message Last week it openly mentioned the possibility of infecting President Joe Biden.

“Like everyone else, the president may at some point testify positively about COVID,” White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki said Friday. Psaki was doubly positive during the pandemic.

Fauch, however, defended COVID protocols around the president.

“I hope not he is. “We will do everything to protect him,” Fauchi said. “But, remember, he is fully vaccinated. This is doubly improved and in most cases, people nearby should be tested. So we think the protocol is a reasonable protocol. “
