Professor Jean-Luc Martineau leads the Inserm Developmental Trajectories and Psychiatry research team at the Borel Center (École normale supérieure Paris-Saclay, University of Paris-Saclay). He has done work showing that depression and anxiety cause brain changes in teenagers even before symptoms appear. He calls for early detection and treatment of the most vulnerable.
