A college fan who posted his fight over mental health on social media was killed on Thursday, sparking concern over a disturbing pattern among student-athletes.
Arlana Miller, 19, is a fan of Southern University and A&M College, a historic black school in Louisiana.
“Our entire campus community is deeply saddened by the untimely death of Arlana Miller, a freshman who was an agriculture student on Mr. Rouge’s campus,” the school said in a statement. “Arlana is from Texas and a fan of our Southern University. We offer our sincere prayers and condolences to her family, classmates, teammates and all who know and love her.”
