The worst of the Covid epidemic seems to be over, and scientists are looking to the future. when will the new coronavirus appear in our lives? Just for the coronavirus, a study published last summer in the journal NatureCommunications estimated the number of people infected with Sars-CoV every year in Southeast Asia to several tens of thousands. This overall estimate, necessarily approximate, is derived from cross-checking several data sets, including the geographic distribution of the 26 bat host species of these viruses, as well as the areas hosting the most diverse and dense populations of these mammals.
