The Inserm Grand Prize is awarded annually to a French researcher whose work has led to significant advances in health research. This 2022 edition was given a Dr: Olivier Delattre, who has dedicated his career to advancing knowledge about childhood cancer.
A trained pediatrician, Olivier Delattre quickly embraced research and today directs the Siredo Center (Care, Innovation, Research, Oncology for Children, Adolescents and Young Adults), which he founded at the Institut Curie, as well as the Inserm Cancer, Heterogeneity, Instability and Plasticity Unit. With his team, he specifically identified important genetic changes in several cancers: Ewing’s sarcoma, rhabdoid tumors, and neuroblastoma.
