Actor Samuel L. Jackson celebrated his 74th birthday on Wednesday, and perhaps the biggest gift he received was an important life lesson: The things you like on Twitter can be seen by the general public.
Oh, and that includes hardcore porn.
The MCU actor apparently enjoyed a lot of porn scenes on Twitter, not realizing that a “like” is supposed to be a public endorsement.
And yes, fans noticed. Thank you for the question.
Many tried to come to Jackson’s aid, educating him on how Twitter “likes” work.
The online intervention seems to have worked: all the porn tweets were “disliked”, according to BuzzFeed.
Since Jackson has previously been open about liking “hentai,” which is pornographic animation from Japan, many Twitter users weren’t surprised.
The news agreed with an actor whose on-screen lines are the stuff of legends.
One person was disappointed with the timing of the Internet pornography intervention.
Another just shook his head at the idea that porn was liked on Twitter in the first place.
One person refused to convict Jackson even because he likes porn, they joked, if it ended his presidential ambitions.
HuffPost reached out to Jackson’s representatives for comment, but no one immediately responded.
