The trailer of the historical drama Shchedryk has been released

The film team tried to reproduce the national identity of the families not only visually, but also mentally.

The creative team of the historical drama Shchedryk, directed by Olesya Morgunets-Isaenko, presented the official trailer. Video posted on YouTube.

The film tells about the fate of three families of different nationalities: Ukrainians, Poles and Jews, united by a common sadness – the transformation of the repressive machine of the USSR into the penal system of the Third Reich.

In desperation, a Ukrainian family takes in children whose parents are victims of occupiers and protects them as their own.

“Ukrainian Shchedryk’s singing united children from three different families. The warmth of the song warmed the girls throughout their lives, even during suffering and re-education,” said of the message.

The film will release on January 5, 2023.

It was previously reported that NATO soldiers performed the world-famous Ukrainian song Shchedryk.
