In the new composition, the performer conveys all the pain of loss that Ukrainian women are forced to endure.
Zlata Ognevich released a song dedicated to women who lost their men as a result of a massive war. The video was published on the artist’s YouTube channel.
The singer admitted that he wrote the lines for the new composition, called Yak meni buti, after he saw a video in which President Volodymyr Zelensky presented awards for the title of Heroes of Ukraine to wives of fallen defenders.
“I watched this video and everything in my chest tightened so that I could physically experience that pain. In each woman’s eyes there was unbearable despair, tears, acceptance, hopelessness It is impossible to imagine the feelings of our women and what they experienced, they are no less heroines than their brave men which feat we will remember forever. All courageous angels will forever remain in our hearts I really want my listeners to experience all the emotions I put into the song and video “Yak me buti”, there is a part of my soul,” he said.
The performer also added that he wrote the song in collaboration with the Ukrainian sound producer MORPHOM, with whom he went to another city to immediately translate the experienced emotions into music.
“I just arrived at the station, I didn’t even realize that there were tickets for sale, but I was lucky – the last two were left at the box office. There were 20 minutes left before the train left, I took a ticket and left immediately. I understood that it was necessary to do it here and now “It was important for me to immediately translate the emotions I experienced into music, to write not the words but the feelings that are inside. With MORPHOM, in just one day , finished we sang the song, overflowing with pain and tears … During the recording, I learned that my beloved friend died in the war, and it broke me,” Zlata Ognevich shared.
Earlier it was reported that Zlata Ognevich, speaking in the war zone in front of defenders of Ukraine, said how a cluster bomb fell on one of the concerts nearby.
