Discover some curious facts you need to know about Disney princes
In addition to being the official companions of some of the most famous and beloved characters in the world, Disney princes also have particularities that are not always commented on by the general public, or are even unknown to most people.
Therefore, Recreio separated 5 incredible facts you need to know about Disney princes. Check out!
1. The only father
In all the princess movies — including the sequels — Prince Eric, Ariel’s husband, is the only one who becomes a father. The couple had little Melody in “The Little Mermaid II: Returning to the Sea”, a feature film released in 2000, which presents a little more of the girl’s relationship between the terrestrial and aquatic worlds.
2. Prince without a happy ending

While Eric was the only one to start a family, John Smith is the only one who didn’t end the story with his beloved. Pocahontas’ love interest even tried to take her to England and tour the world twice, but the princess turned down both offers.
3. Hans is Disney’s only villainous prince

Generally, Disney princes are presented as the great gentlemen and good guys of history – and this almost happened with Hans from Frozen. During most of the first film, the character managed to deceive everyone with his false interest in Anna, but ends up revealing his true and evil intentions. With that, he became the only Disney prince who is a villain.
4. Nameless prince?

Eric is Ariel’s prince; Philip, Aurora’s; Florian, from Snow White; and Aladdin, Jasmine’s. But what is the name of Cinderella’s prince? Throughout the film he is known only as “Enchanted”, but his real name is never said. Although some derivative productions call him Henry, in Disney’s original animation no one ever mentions the boy’s real name.
5. No real crib

Among all the princes, Aladdin was the first not born into royalty. The humble young man lived on the streets of Agrabah, and stole to survive alongside his pet monkey Abu. He only became a noble after marrying Jasmine, the sultan’s daughter and heir to the throne.
