Ukrainian pop-rock group Antitila with the national choir. Mr. Verevki and the children’s group Zernyatko performed a new version of the legendary song Shchedryk. The composition was published on the musicians’ YouTube channel.
Today the famous Christmas song is adapted to modern realities, where they call on the world to help Ukrainian children who are suffering as a result of a massive war.
“Mykola Leontovich created “Shchedryk”, which became a symbol and melody of Christmas love and warmth of hugs around the world. Today, Ukrainians sing “Shchedryk” in other words, they were written by war – Carol for the Charity. We created it together with the legendary Verevka choir, as well as with children who, despite the attacks of enemies, alarms and blackouts, still remain in Ukraine and continue to do what they like – singing – this is the children’s group “Zernyatko”. and a peaceful Christmas in Ukraine and fun children’s laughter for the holidays,” the artists commented at the premiere.
It was previously reported that members of the Ukrainian group Antytila are taking care of the children of their comrades who died in the war with Russia until they are old.
