By showing men’s ignorance of the female body through TikTok videos, an American woman wants to encourage women to vote in the midterm elections this Tuesday, November 8.
“Roe v Bros, a game where you discover how much men know about women’s bodies.” Here is the idea behind a series of videos published by American actress Tiffany Sprinkle on TikTok since November 3. The young woman there exposes some men’s ignorance of the workings of the female body and, in particular, of menstruation.
The four clips feature the actress interviewing random men in a New York City park about menstruation, pregnancy and even the female anatomy. The men’s answers to her questions are all wrong.
“Can you pee with a tampon?”
The first video of the series has more than 6 million views on the social network. In particular, we see Tiffany Sprinkle asking one of these men: “On average, how many tampons do women use during their period?” Answer: “One. Or two. I think only one, to be honest.” “Can you pee with a tampon?” he asks another, after which they will answer. “I think you should take it off.”
Questions then turn to women’s sexuality. “How long can a woman have sex after giving birth?” the actress asks two different men. “As soon as you leave the maternity hospital,” they answer him. “Does the G spot change places?” she asks another. “Yeah, it gets higher when the girl has surgery and then it goes back down.”
Educating American women to vote
Funny at first glance, Tiffany Sprinkle’s videos have a more serious purpose: to make American women aware of the importance of having a government that is aware and involved in women’s health issues, and thus encourage them to vote in the US midterm elections, Tuesday, November 8. “Roe v Bros” via the actress’s TikTok account title, also refers to Roe v. Wade,” which was written into the United States constitution in 1973, which allowed abortion in every state, and which was overturned on June 24, 2022 by the Republican-dominated Supreme Court.
In the video: “MENstruation”.
At the end of each video, the men interviewed all announce that they are registered to vote. “Don’t let men’s brains trump women in this election. Vote on November 8.” he then concludes with each of his posts;
