Eminem was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on Saturday after performing some of his biggest hits with Steven Tyler and Ed Sheeran at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and giving a humbling speech about “music that basically makes you he saved life.”
The decorated rapper, who starred in the Oscar-winning film “Lose Yourself” at the 2020 Academy Awards and won an Emmy for the Super Bowl 2022 Half Time Show, was introduced by his mentor Dr. Dre before explaining why neither should be. There.

Eminem was included along with Dolly Parton, Duran Duran, Carly Simon, Lionel Richie, Eurythmics and others. His speech was truly a night for hip-hop, with Eminem thanking those who came before him by reading over 100 names in alphabetical order.
“These were my rock star men and I just want to say that these are just some of the names that I hope will be considered in the future for induction,” he said after crediting 2Pac, Beastie Boys, Gang Starr. and the infamous BIG
“Because without them, a lot of us wouldn’t be here,” Eminem added. “I know I wouldn’t.”
Eminem previously recounted his near-fatal overdose on the “Paul Pod” podcast in September and revealed he was taking up to 80 Valium a day before collapsing in the bathroom. His recovery marked a serious change in his music and led to even greater success.
