The letter was written by the musician to his accountant Barry Nichols and dated December 8, 1980.

John Lennon’s last letter with his signature, written hours before his death, has been sold at auction for nearly $64,000. On Saturday, October 22, TMZ reports.

The letter was addressed to Barry Nichols, Lennon’s accountant. In it, the musician listed the names of three proxies to vote on his behalf at the annual meeting of the Beatles Corporation, to be held nine days later in London.

The meeting in question took place in London nine days after Lennon’s death.

The auction was announced on October 5 and lasted for 17 days. The buyer preferred to remain anonymous.

Recall that Go_A soloist Ekaterina Pavlenko performed John Lennon’s cult song Imagine with Italian artist Gaia in Italy before the football match between Juventus and Inter teams.

Previously, John Lennon’s glasses were sold at Sotheby’s for 137.5 thousand pounds (about 183 thousand dollars).
