Stephen Colbert said he was trying to ignore Fox News presenter Tucker Carlson, whom he described as “one of the engineers on the express train right in Crazytown.”
“Carlson does and says something that’s a silly thing to pay attention to, but it’s so silly that it got my attention,” Colbert said.
He refers, of course, to Carlson’s infamous TV show about masculinity and testosterone, which includes a segment on why men should tan their testicles. It is also full of naked and almost naked men engaging in “male” activities.
“I have to say, the Fox News host said, it was a refreshing and positive celebration of homoeroticism,” Colbert said. “Good for you!”
One of the clips featured a man in a shirt burning a cow, but as Colbert pointed out, there was no bucket.
“I’m not a Brown farmer, but I’m here to tell you: if you don’t bring a bucket, you don’t burn a cow,” Colbert said. “You love cows.”
None of this is as unique as tan nuts, though, as Colbert said in Monday night’s monologue:
The “late show” also contained a fake advertisement for a harrowing product called Tucker Testicle Tanner:
