If getting an appointment to renew your ID or passport is a feat, getting the right photos that will last you for several years is not easy either. Especially now that the instructions are strict. On Service-public.fr you can find a list of all the boxes that must be respected for photo authentication. These include a neutral background, no hat or scarf, a neutral expression, and a plain face. Fringe is acceptable only if it does not cover the eyes.

So many limitations that make the task difficult. In summary, passport photos are rarely the ones we are most proud of or show off on social media. Not to mention the tired look we’d do without a formal piece. The ally who could save the final result. Subtle makeup (but anything but natural or light) that will hide dark circles and enhance your complexion. And that’s what British tiktoker Georgia Barratt suggests in a tutorial that’s been viewed by nearly 12 million people. The young woman revealed her contouring tips and tricks, and the selfie she shared sparked excitement in her community.
Step by step
The first step. Look. She starts by sweeping the brows upwards with a special gel to set them in place. For complexion, like most makeup artists, she uses a hydrating foundation (for a glowy effect) topped with a satin foundation to reflect light (she chose Nars’ Radiant Longwear Natural). Then the concealer works. Slightly lighter than foundation, it is used on the inner corner of the eye and under the eyes to brighten the look. But especially under the lower brow line to create a real symmetry between them. She also fills them in with pencil.
To sculpt the face, she applies sunscreen to the temples, cheekbones (especially below to hollow out the cheeks). But also the tip of the nose and the outer edge of the eyelids. She also adds blush to the cheekbones, which she blends upwards. As well as a touch of concealer, which she blends with a sponge on the jowls.

The final touch? A brown pencil line on the cat’s eyelids, the lashes after using the mascara and a little smudge on the lids. Finally, she adds volume to the lips with a touch of gloss after outlining them with a pencil.
