Haiku authors from 50 countries of the world wrote poems in 16 languages ​​dedicated to our state.

Japanese poet Madoka Maizumi created an international haiku project for the world. It is dedicated to Ukraine, Ukrainian Ambassador to Japan Serhiy Korsunsky said on Facebook.

Haiku authors from 50 countries have already taken part in the project.

According to Maizumi, he was greatly impressed by the poetry of Vladislava Simonova from Kharkov, who wrote about 600 haiku. The Japanese woman wants to publish them in her country.

“But what impressed Maizumi the most were the works of the Ukrainian poet Vladislava Simonova from Kharkov, who wrote many poems, which are really under the everyday shelling. There are more than 600 haiku in Vladislav and Ms. Maizumi decided to publish her book in Japan. We will actively promote this project, it is a great honor to publish a collection of haiku in Japan,” Korsunsky wrote.
