Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) Is an outspoken critic of President Joe Biden’s immigration policy, but her latest hit on social media was a fantastic mistake.
On Monday, the Republican senator tweeted that “Tennessee wants a wall on our southern border.”

Blackburn’s tweet, of course, is a reference to former President Donald Trump’s wall on the US-Mexico border. When completed, the wall will create a fortified barrier between the United States and Mexico along the southern borders of California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.
His comment sparked jokes, with many Twitter users noting that Tennessee is more than 1,000 miles from the southern border of the United States. Neighbors to the south of the volunteer state are Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi, which are not on either the Mexican border.
“I better not stop visiting my mom or my white salsa in Alabama, Marsha” On Twitter Jason Isbel, four-time Grammy-winning singer and songwriter.
Added Historian Kevin M. Cruz: “Because of the bullshit the Republicans are pushing about the state, I’m surprised that Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia haven’t built themselves there yet.”
Blackburn, a staunch conservative, is no stranger to social media rumors.
In March, he apparently confused the United States Constitution with the Declaration of Independence. Last year, he declared, “We will never rewrite the United States Constitution,” ignoring the 27-fold amendment for several reasons.
Blackburn was targeted last week after she was asked to explain the word “woman,” a question she asked Supreme Court Justice Katanji Jackson Brown at a hearing in March on Jackson’s testimony.
